M$ to Buy Sony??
Is it possible? Would Microsoft buy Sony?
Well according to this article not only is it possible, it is plausible.
Now I don't really know what the going rate is for Sony these days but Microsoft does have some deep pockets. But even I don't think M$ could afford the current valuation of just over $47 billion.
But it is an intriguing question. After all it would give M$ a foothold in the consumer product market that they don't have now (aside from the Xbox).
And imagine what a360/PS3 console would be like? Play every game ever released for Playstation (1,2 and 3) as well as all Xbox games (version 1 and 360).
Things that make you go hmmmmm.
I think this is very possible. But I think it is wise to eat up Sonys market share and squash the Blu-ray effect to the other part of Sony first. Once that happens Sony will come down off that high price. And by the way Microsoft will not offer 100% cash No one does that! But they could. And still have Billions in the bank! But I think 12$Billion in cash plus stock would be a great deal at this time. 4 billion in cash 2 years later after it is ovious PS3 will not have 85% of console market.
