According to a recent post at PC vs Console Microsoft can boast some more.

According to the site, Xbox live is now "the world's largest platform for high-definition on-demand content, surpassing 24 million downloads following the launch of Xbox 360 in the US on November 22, 2005. "

This is interesting because, now that the other console makers are jumping on the "live" bandwagon it will be fun to watch them battle it out for users.

While M$ has the jump on Sony and Nintendo I think the lower price of the Wii will make it more appealing to those who may not own a console or may otherwise be entering the console market. As long as the Wii service is as good as Live, in that it offers unique content, it should be able to grow its user base to be at least as big, if not bigger, than the Xbox Live community.
