PSP Gets New Look

Looks like the folks at Sony have been busy coming out with some special edition PSPs.

The first set came out Sunday for the lucky gamers in Japan as part of the PSP Signature Line. The specs are still the same for the console, but it also comes with extra capacity battery, which means longer playing time, and a fancy PSP stand.

There are two designs to choose from, "Tsukimi" and the "Kachofugetsu". "Tsukimi" is this tradition in Japan where they view the moon and "Kachofugetsu" is a Kanji compound that has the characters for flower, bird, wind, and moon. And from the pics below, you can see why they called them that. The price for such an awesome looking PSP? 31,500 yen which comes out to be about $271.

But as if releasing these two cool newly designed PSPs weren't enough, Sony released another design, in Europe this time, in collaboration with Pink, that singer/songwriter.

The "Pink" PSP will be packaged in the same Value Pack we've seen before. You know, the one with the white headphones, a remote, a pouch, a wrist strap and a 32 MB Memory Stick Duo. Price you ask? 229 Euros which is about $293.
