A new resource for gamers

There is a new gamers community out there, but not one you'll be familiar with.
It's a society which claims to protect gamers rights and it's called "The Entertainment Consumers Association" and it is a non-profit society set up to "serve the needs of those who play computer and video games." The society is formed by Industry veteran Hal Halpin.
I say verteran because prior to the ECA, Halpin founded the industry’s retail trade association, Interactive Entertainment Merchants Association (IEMA), which merged with the Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA) to form the Entertainment Merchants Association (EMA) in 2006.
The goal appears to be to ensure that consumers rights are represented when it comes to gaming. That means, whenever there is some legislature to be passed which could limit our access to games, the society may step in to represent those who buy games.
I think it's a great idea, lets hope it works out!
