PS3 is better. No Xbox is better...Hmm what???
On the eve of the PS3 launch, Microsoft came out swinging. It says that it has updated it's Live data to reflect the fact that they no have over 4 million members. Microsoft 1, Sony 0.
Then reports surfaced of a 100 GB addon to the Xbox 360. Hmm M$ gets an early 2 nothing lead.
But wait, Sony strikes backing saying the 360 may actually cost more than the PS3. That's because once you take a basic system and add on the required hard drive, optional HD DVD, wireless controller and Live subscription the PS3 price is actually lower than a comparably equipped 360. Hmm, seems Sony has won one - the score is getting closer at 2 to 1.
But then Gizmodo reported that the reports of a 100 GB HDD for the 360 were false. In fact someone photoshopped a picture supposedly taken of a Korean Microsoft slideshow. Hmm, we're tied at 2 a piece.
But then a report surfaced in which some real analysts think the 360 could be the ultmate winner in the console wars. While their sales are lower than expected currently, these same analysts expect console sales to rebound following the sales of the Wii and PS3. Not sure how they figure that but...Oh well. Score one more for the 360.
So the final score is - Microsoft Xbox 360 - 3 points. Sony PS3 - 2 points. The winner of this round, by a nose is:
