Xbox 360 News Wrapup

As promised, I have been (and still continue to) collect the latest console news.
Therefore I thought I'd start my wrapups with the 360. I did this because all M$ is doing at the moment is playing catchup and trying to soften the blow of not one but two new consoles coming out this Christmas season.
Therefore while there is 360 news, it's not all that earth shattering.
Because there is so much I'm going to make this an extended post, so be sure to click on the "read more" link to see the whole post!
So let's start with a post at Gizmodo. While this is actually about all the consoles, I thought that since there wasn't a lot of Xbox news I'd throw it in here.
In the Giz story, the sizes of the consoles is compared and it shows that the PS3 is larger than the rest but not by much. In fact the 360 is almost the same size as the PS3. Interestingly, the Wii is coming in as the smallest console, even smaller than the original NES. Way to go Nintendo!
Now for some "real" 360 nows. ArsTechnica is reporting that "Richard Teversham, director of platform and marketing at Microsoft Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), came out swinging today with a bold prediction: "I guarantee that Xbox 360 games will look better than PS3." " Guarantee? How do you suppose he can do that? How many PS3 games has he seen? Guess time will tell.
In ohter 360 news, we found instructions on how to mod your 360 wireless controller from its original small shiny shape into a large, bulky arcade style controller.
If you are type of person who prefers carpal tunnel syndrome to ergonomically designed joysticks then this post is for you! ;)
Finally, we've learned that if you live in Japan but haven't gotten an Xbox 360 yet (and why would you have?) M$ is trying something new to lure you to their console: It's called the Xbox 360 Blue Dragon Premium pack. It is based on the "much anticipated role-playing game from legendary Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi." The case looks pretty cool (click on the link above to see it).
So there you have it - not a whole lot of M$ news this past week, but after I get caught up on the other stuff I'll get back into regular posts. Just so you know there was a lot of PS3 and Wii news so I may have to stretch those out over a few posts.
