In a recent article posted on Vnunet it is reported that M$ has decided to upgrade the 360 in 2007. However the article also goes on to say that the company has made no guarantees that they would take advantage of the faster processors.

While one would think that a faster processor means that the 360 would ultimately perform faster it appears that this may not be the case. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

And if you were waiting for details on the HD-DVD, wait no longer. Kotaku is reporting that the new drive will sell for less than $200 in the US starting in "mid-November." It will come with an HD disc (King Kong) and a remote. M$ expects to see 150 movies by the end of the year in the HD-DVD format.
