Do Wireless Gamecube Controllers Work With The Wii?

I've been finding that my site is getting a lot of questions. When I review my website stats I often see questions like "Where to buy a Wii?" or "What is the PSP resolution?" This one recently showed up so I thought I'd answer it.

The quick answer is yes, a wireless GameCube controller does work with the Wii.

In fact, a little digging returns this exact response from an Amazon discussion board.

CNet also has a review of the MadCatz wireless Gamecube controller which also works with the Wii.

Of course, if your a maker kinda person, you can build your own with with this Hackaday tutorial.

So there you have it, an answer to the question do wireless Gamecube controllers work with a Wii?

Now you just gotta find a Wii ;)
