Spring brings Console Goodness
Normally spring is reserved for that all-time favorite activity called "Spring Cleaning."
This is when you go through your basement/attic/garage or any other place you have stuff stashed. It is also the time you say "I wondered where that went" or "I was looking for this" lots. It is also the time you should say "well I haven't used that in a year and I didn't miss it therefore I'm going to get rid of it.
Sadly we don't do enough of that. Further, it doesn't help when console and 3rd party manufacturers continue to make Goodies we can't do without. And this spring is no exception.
That's because we are seeing 2 "must have" goodies this spring. One for the 360 and one for the Wii.
First, the Wii accessory harkens back to the days of the classic NES, with a Star Trek inspired update.

Ok I don't know for a fact that it is Star Trek inspired, I just threw that in :) .
Available May 1, the Wii Zapper will sell for about 20 bucks and will be the must have accessory for such virtual console games as "Duck Hunt" and "Hogan's Alley" to more modern titles like "Resident Evil" and "Medal of Honor."
As for the 360, it's no secret that MS is planning an IM client for the 360 along with a few other enhancements.
And it's also no secret that IMing buddies to rub it in their faces will be difficult with the current controller layout, which is why M$ is also releasing this:

Not too shabby - no mention of price though.
