What do you bring?

Now that the summer holidays are upon us I decided to ask a question.

When you go on holidays do you bring any of your gaming consoles with you? IE if you go camping, or stay in a hotel, or just rough it out in the woods with only a tent, do you bring anything to entertain yourself?

Personally we have a summer cabin so we have an old dreamcast hooked up to an even older TV for those rainy days.

Of course for the trip out there the DS and Gameboy come in handy, or for when you just don't want to get out of the lawn chair.

There are other goodies we bring as well - I bring my laptop for movies (no internet where we go) plus a portable DVD player (in case we can't agree on what to watch).

Sure it sounds like we aren't roughing it too much. And the truth is we don't. We have power and water there, plus a barbeque and of course coolers full of my favorite beverage.

But isn't that what camping is supposed to be about? Hanging out and doing what you want to do?

Why can't gaming be part of that?

If you are like me - let everyone know: What gaming console do you take on holidays with you and why?

We'll even let you portable freaks comment :)
